Our units are many and spread far apart--including but not limited to: Cyber Command, Counter Terrorism, Organized Crime, Counter Surveillance, etc.
Cyber Command
The cyber command is responsible for protecting the region's digital infrastructure and countering cyber threats. The cyber command monitors & analyzes online activity, conducts investigations into cybercrimes, and develops strategies to ehance cybersecurity measures.
Counter terrorism
The counter terrorism unit in Somaliland's National Intelligence Agency is responsible for identifying and neutralizing potential terrorist threats, working with international agencies to gather intelligence, conduct surveillance, and disrupt terrorist networks, safeguarding national security.
Counter surveillance
The counter surveillance unit in Somaliland's National Intelligence Agency is crucial for intelligence gathering and operations, detecting and countering terrorist attempts, using advanced techniques to maintain information integrity and security.
Organized Crime (Trafficking, Laundering, Arms Control)
The National Intelligence Agency's organized crime unit combats criminal activities like drug trafficking, human smuggling, and money laundering by gathering intelligence, working with law enforcement, and maintaining social stability.
Our Mission
​The mission of the Somaliland National Intelligence Agency is to gather and analyze intelligence on potential threats to national security, both domestically and internationally. This includes monitoring extremist groups, identifying potential terrorist activities, and detecting any foreign interference that may pose a risk to the country's stability. Through its proactive approach, the agency aims to provide timely and accurate information to decision-makers, enabling them to take necessary actions to safeguard Somaliland's sovereignty and protect its citizens
